Properties: Colorless transparent crystal, stable in air, soluble in water (22.6g/100ml), insoluble in ethanol, deliquescence. When heated to 400 ℃, it melts into a transparent liquid, and after cooling, it solidifies into an opaque glassy potassium metaphosphate.
Use:
1: Flame retardant: dry powder fire extinguishing agent, flame retardant for fabric, wood and paper, fire retardant for printing and dyeing industry.
The moisture absorption rate of potassium dihydrogen phosphate is very low, which is helpful for the storage of ultra-fine dry powder fire extinguishing agents.
2. Textile: printing and dyeing detergent, silk weighting agent, mordant for making reactive dyes, and also used for fabric weighting agent, etc.
3. Water treatment: industrial water treatment agent, water softener.
4. Welding industry: Welding flux is used instead of borax in welding and brazing.
5. Reagents: used as analytical reagents and pH reference reagents, hydrogen peroxide bleach stabilizer, neutralizer, antibiotic culture agent, buffer, bacterial culture agent.
6. Medicine: biochemical treatment agent
7. Others: glazes, pigments, raw materials for potassium metaphosphate
